Summary of Funded PhD Program

Your role will be to design and develop the photochemical formation of indigo from indican to provide a procedure for efficient indigo textile dying. The aim is to optimize the dyeing process to be technically feasible and economically viable at an industrial scale. Your primary task will be to optimize the photochemical process, including wavelength, reaction conditions and time. You will work in close collaboration with senior researchers, a PhD and a PostDoc at DTU Electro to develop a system with continuous in situ measuring of both indican concentration and indigo waste as well as yarn color.

2. Fully Funded PhD in single-cell technologies to improve biotherapeutic protein production

Summary of Funded PhD Program

You will be responsible for independently planning, executing, and interpreting scientific experiments around engineering mammalian cells for more efficient metabolic and production capabilities. The PhD project is focused on applying single-cell transcriptomic and product titer measurements to understand the transcriptional signature underlying highly productive phenotypes. These signatures will be applied, first prospectively as biomarkers to select ‘good’ cells earlier in the cell line generation workflow, and subsequently as targets for direct genetic engineering to predispose cells towards higher production.

The overarching aim of your project is to explore interactions of enzymes, some to be discovered within the project, with specific cell surface glycans using both wet chemistry lab and computational methods. The latter is relevant to apply recent advances in computational design for enzyme engineering. Binding analyses of relevant glycans to enzymes and proteins, using biophysical methods and crystallography in addition to enzymology will be key in the project. 17. Fully Funded PhD in Aggregation and control of multi-brand slow chargers for grid services delivery

Summary of Funded PhD Program

The AHEAD project involves 21 partners from 11 countries and will create a simulation environment capable of predicting the most convenient location to place the electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and optimise both the usage of the power grid resources, and the charging stations located in urban and rural areas. This simulation environment will exploit the unique features of currently available AI models and include two layers: the spatial mapping one (placing the chargers where the people need them to be), and the power grid one (placing the chargers where the grid can support them). Innovative smart charging algorithms will be designed and tested in the model, to minimize the impact of EV charging pools on the network, and ensure the consumers have economic benefits.
