Job Description


The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) offers a Science Policy Fellowship Program for postdoctoral fellows and early-career researchers. The program aims to develop participants into strong advocates for U.S. federal support in applied mathematics and computational and data science.

Role Description:
Fellows gain in-depth knowledge of policy processes affecting science funding and decisions while continuing their research and teaching. They receive training on effective communication with federal officials and participate in SIAM’s Committee on Science Policy meetings.

  • Location: Combination of in-person (Washington, D.C.) and remote engagements

  • Application Cycle: Annually
