2. Fully Funded PhD in translational medicine in rheumatology with a focus on B cell biology and antibody engineering
Summary of Funded PhD Program
We are looking for a motivated doctoral student with an interest in translational research, immunology, and molecular biology methodology. The project is focused on studies of autoantibodies and B cells in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). SLE is an autoimmune disease with multiorgan involvement and dysregulation of the adaptive immune system, in particular B cells. In the project the student will study the role of B cells and autoantibodies in the SLE pathogenesis by B cell phenotyping, serological screening, BCR repertoire and single cell analysis, and by generation of monoclonal antibodies from patient B cells.
Application Deadline: 11.Oct.2024
3. Fully Funded PhD in intervention research with a focus on physical activity and the environment
Summary of Funded PhD Program
We are looking for a PhD student for a project in intervention research with a focus on physical activity for work in a FORMAS/Cancerfonden-funded project where 15 school yards over 3 years are rebuilt with greenery for a better environment and to promote physical activity of school children. 4. Fully Funded PhD in Endocrine Molecular Pathology
Summary of Funded PhD Program
Christofer Juhlin’s research team is dedicated to advancing the diagnosis and prognosis of endocrine-related tumors. We focus on tumors originating from endocrine tissues, including the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands, and neuroendocrine tumors. Our primary goal is to develop innovative tools and strategies that enhance the detection, classification, and prediction of these complex diseases. Employing a multi-faceted approach that integrates modern molecular and genetic techniques with traditional light microscopy and histopathology, our research team aims to identify novel markers for the enhanced recognition of malignant disease and improved patient prognosis for poor-prognosis cases.
