1. Fully Funded PhD in Mathematical/ Computational Methods for Cavitating Flows and Noise Propagation
Summary of Funded PhD Program
This position is an integral part of an innovative project aimed at creating a Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) model to study cavitating flows and their noise propagation. The project’s goal is to address the issue of underwater radiated noise(URN), primarily caused by ship propellers, contributing significantly to marine pollution. Collaborating with MAN-ES, a leading ship propeller manufacturer, and supported by funding from the Danish Maritime Fund and Orient Fonden, this project seeks to make substantial strides in mitigating URN’s environmental impact.

2. Fully Funded PhD in Exploring CONFINED LIVES between London, UK and Freetown, Sierra Leone
Summary of Funded PhD Program
This PhD is part of a larger project that explores confinement and confined lives across four transnational sites. The overarching project investigates confinement as both a restriction of freedom and a form of protection, highlighting its unequal distribution in contexts of urban marginality, displacement and incarceration. Family relationships and trans-country mobility serve as a common entry point to understanding confining dynamics and their effects across the four transnational sites.
