Do you have a Master’s degree and are looking for fully funded PhD opportunities? Universität Hamburg, Germany is now accepting applications for several funded PhD programs across a range of research areas.
1. Fully Funded PhD in ultra-fast phenomena, X-ray physics and dynamical imaging in all areas of science covering physics, chemistry and biology
Summary of Funded PhD Program
The program offers exciting research opportunities at ultra-intense electron and X-ray sourcesto directly observe atomic motions during primary events. The use of ultrafast imaging over the relevant length and time scales generates new levels of understanding of the interplay between structure and dynamics. Specific areas include the theoretical and experimental aspects of quantum materials and atomically resolved dynamics, fundamental light-matter interaction, accelerator-based light sources, coherent controlled molecular and solid state dynamics, molecular imaging, extreme timescale spectroscopy, ultrafast optics and X-ray science

2. Fully Funded PhD in Biological Psychology and Neuropsychology
Summary of Funded PhD Program
We seek a PhD candidate with a Master (or equivalent) degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, or a related field. The successful candidate has a background in multisensory research in humans, excellent knowledge in experimental psychology, familiarity with at least one neuroscience method, high English proficiency, documented education in statistics, and good programming skills. International experience is of advantage. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working as part of a team in our lab and office space.
Application Deadline: 24.10.2024
3. Fully Funded PhD in Quantum Universe
Summary of Funded PhD Program
The successful candidate will work with Prof. Cortés and Prof. Dwivedi on topics in generalized geometry, generalized Ricci flow and other related areas. The goal would be to study solutions of the generalized Ricci-flow under symmetry assumptions which allow for the partial differential equations to reduce to an ode system. This will include studying solutions on homogeneous spaces as well as more general cohomogeneity one solutions.
