Summary of Funded PhD Program
To master future societal challenges, it is crucial that students have teachers who, through varied, exploratory and practical-aesthetic learning processes, can promote students’ competencies in creativity, problem-solving and action for a sustainable way of life. The overall part of the Norwegian school curriculum (LK20) sets guidelines for practical-aesthetic learning processes and working methods to be used in all subjects, including science and the interdisciplinary theme of sustainable development.

Summary of Funded PhD Program
Nord University geographically covers the traditional Lule Sami, Pites Sami, Umes Sami and South Sami areas in Saepmie/Sámeednam. Nord University has a national responsibility for research and education within Lule and South Sami language and culture. Based on Nord University’s national responsibility for research and education within Lule and Southern Sami language and culture, the fellow must prepare a project outline within a subject that aims to develop new knowledge within Lule Sami language and literature. This could, for example, be within teacher education with a focus on literature or subject didactics, but also other professions that contribute to knowledge within Lule Sami language and culture.

Summary of Funded PhD Program
Based on Nord University’s national responsibility for research and education within Lule and Southern Sami language and culture, the fellow must prepare a project outline within a subject that aims to develop new knowledge within Southern Sami language and literature. This could, for example, be within teacher education with a focus on literature or subject didactics, but also other professions that contribute to knowledge within Southern Sami language and literature.
