Job Description
What we want
We are seeking a dedicated Migration Policy Data Coder to join our research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating and maintaining an existing dataset, coding policy changes related to immigration openness and immigrant rights, and analyzing data from a set of developed democracies. Strong analytical skills, experience with data coding and research, and knowledge of immigration policies and rights are required.

Salary: $25/hr.

Note About Position: This position is a temporary position, estimated for two months and is part-time
Grant Funded: This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding, which is renewed through provisions of the grantor of the contract. Therefore, this position is contingent upon continuation of funding from these grants and/or contracts, as well as satisfactory job performance.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- PhD in Political Science
- Experience working with three OECD series: 1) Trends in International Migration, 2) International Migration Outlook, and 3) the Social Expenditure Database
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise with both Stata and Excel
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expertise with both Stata and Excel
Responsibilities
Research Data Coder:
- Reading the sources identified below to code these policy changes and then enter them into the existing dataset
