Job Description


The ASPET Washington Fellows Program, offered by the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), is designed to enable early-career scientists to engage in science policy. The program provides fellows with the opportunity to learn about public policy issues and how decisions made in Washington, D.C., impact science policy nationwide.

Role Description:
Fellows participate in activities that enhance their understanding of science policy, including attending the ASPET Annual Meeting and related policy programming. They are encouraged to engage with policymakers and advocate for science policy issues.

  • Application Cycle: Annually
  • What You’ll Need:

    • Membership in ASPET in good standing

    • Status as a graduate student, postdoctoral trainee, or researcher no more than four years past the completion of their postdoctoral training

    • Residency in the U.S. and affiliation with a U.S. institution

    • Strong interest in science and its intersection with public policy.

  • Preferred or Required Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated leadership skills and interest in science policy
