Are you passionate about science and enjoy working behind the scenes to support hands-on learning? We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Technician II to join our team and play a vital role in the success of our Biology and Anatomy & Physiology laboratory courses. In this position, you’ll be responsible for preparing daily lab materials, ensuring everything is ready for students to explore and discover. You’ll also assist in planning and supervising technical operations, helping to guide lab personnel and maintain the highest standards of quality assurance and control across all lab equipment and specimens. Opportunities to Contribute

  • Supervise and ensure quality control of all reagents, solutions, media, and lab setups for experiments and practical exams.
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment and spaces.
  • Transport departmental supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot experimental issues and recommend solutions.
  • Train and assist Graduate Assistants assigned to lab courses.
  • Maintain lab safety and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Refine and improve experiments and technical procedures used in lab courses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of experience in scientific research, clinical, operational, managerial or experimental work.

A well-qualified candidate will also possess

  •  Master’s degree in related field.
  • Completion of advanced A&P laboratory coursework.
  • Four years of experience in scientific research, clinical, operational and experiential work experience.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • AED Training
  • Specimen dissection skills.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.
