The Stanford Mental Health Resilience Lab is seeking a full-time or shared Postdoctoral Research Fellow to play a leadership role in an exciting NIH-funded study investigating the effects of cannabis use among college-aged youth. This project aims to examine the neurobiological and mental health impacts of cannabis exposure, with a broader goal of identifying biomarkers associated with resilience and risk for depression.
As part of this study, you will have the opportunity to work alongside renowned faculty, clinicians (including psychiatrists and clinical psychologists), and statisticians from Stanford and other institutions. In addition to receiving mentorship and gaining valuable research experience, you will have the opportunity to present research findings and contribute to publications at one of the nation’s leading research institutions.

Experience in clinical translational research, including clinical and cognitive assessments (e.g., K-SADS, SCID), functional neuroimaging (e.g., resting-state, anatomical and task-based fMRI), and bioassays (e.g., cannabinoid and cortisol measurements)

Involvement in Stanford Neurochoice, including monthly seminars, dinners, and meetings
Key Responsibilities:

Development and implementation of study protocols

Participant recruitment and collection of participant and laboratory data

Statistical analysis of data

Authorship on manuscripts, presentations, and research proposals

PhD in psychology, neuroscience, biostatistics, computer science, or a related field.

Strong interpersonal and technical skills, particularly in data analysis

Experience with statistical analysis (e.g., SPSS, MATLAB) and programming (e.g., R, MATLAB, Python)

Experience with fMRI data collection and analysis (e.g., FSL, SPM)
