The Edmund S. Muskie Professional Fellowship Program is a U.S. Department of State–funded, summer internship fellowship implemented by Cultural Vistas. Launched in 2015, it provides emerging global leaders—Fulbright Foreign Students from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia—an 8–10 week, full-time professional development experience that complements their graduate studies in the United States (facebook.com, newuniversityinexileconsortium.org).
Role Description:
Fellows undertake a supervised internship placement with a U.S. host organization—such as government agencies, NGOs, think tanks, media outlets, or private sector firms—working on substantive projects aligned with their academic and career interests. In addition, participants attend professional workshops and networking events to build practical skills and cross-sector relationships.

Annually.
What You’ll Need:
- Current Fulbright Foreign Student, enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program at a U.S. college or university.
- Strong academic record and demonstrated leadership potential.
- Authorization to engage in a J‑1 exchange visitor internship under Fulbright sponsorship.
- Proficiency in English for professional settings and cross-cultural engagement.
