The Wexner Field Fellowship is a two‑year, cohort‑based leadership development program administered by The Wexner Foundation. Launched in 2016, the Field Fellowship equips rising leaders in Jewish communal organizations—such as synagogues, federations, and education nonprofits—with the skills, networks, and strategic perspectives to drive impact in local communities across North America.
Role Description:
Fellows will engage in the following activities:
- In‑Person Seminars: Attend four week‑long leadership retreats—two at Wexner’s campus in Ancaster, Ontario, and two in key U.S. cities—focused on visionary thinking, organizational strategy, and adaptive leadership.
- Executive Coaching & Mentorship: Participate in bi‑monthly one‑on‑one coaching sessions with professional leadership coaches and engage with a senior mentor from the Wexner alumni network.
- Peer Learning Groups: Collaborate in small peer cohorts to discuss case studies, share challenges, and practice new approaches to community engagement and organizational change.
- Applied Projects: Design and implement a field‑based leadership project at the Fellow’s home organization, applying insights from seminars and feedback from faculty and peers.
Location:
Fellows remain full‑time in their existing professional roles while participating in retreats and coaching. In‑person seminars convene at Wexner’s Learning Institute in Ancaster, Ontario, and at rotating host cities in the United States.

What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of 5–10 years of professional experience in a Jewish communal or philanthropic organization.
- Proven record of leadership and impact in one’s institution or field.
- Commitment from home organization to support 2 years of part‑time participation.
- Willingness to invest time (approx. 30 days over two years) in seminars, coaching, and peer sessions.
