Job Description

The Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network (TILN) Fellowship, hosted by the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), is a leadership development program for young, diverse leaders from Europe and the United States. Established in 2012 in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Helsinki Commission, TILN aims to empower emerging leaders to advance inclusive policies and strengthen social cohesion across the Atlantic

Role Description:
TILN Fellows engage in a comprehensive program that includes:

  • Virtual Learning: From December to June, fellows participate in distance learning sessions led by TILN facilitators, focusing on leadership development and inclusive policymaking.

  • In-Person Immersion: In June, fellows attend a one-week immersion in Brussels, Belgium, where they receive briefings from renowned experts, participate in leadership trainings, and engage with transatlantic policymaking institutions, businesses, and civil society actors.

  • Brussels Forum Participation: Fellows have the unique opportunity to attend GMF’s signature annual conference, the Brussels Forum, facilitating high-level networking and policy discussions.

  • Alumni Network: Post-fellowship, participants join a vibrant alumni network of over 200 leaders who have advanced to roles in the European Parliament, U.S. Congress, and other significant positions.

  • Application Cycle: Annually

What You’ll Need:

  • Be under the age of 35 at the time of application.

  • Hold a position in elected office, civil society, or business sectors.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to advancing inclusive policies and social cohesion.

  • Possess strong leadership potential and a track record of community engagement.

Preferred or Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in policymaking, advocacy, or leadership roles.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse, multicultural environments.

  • Proficiency in English, as the program is conducted entirely in English.
