The Iqra Fellowship Program, hosted by the Boston Islamic Seminary, is a prestigious year-long initiative designed to nurture the intellectual, spiritual, and leadership capacities of Muslim students and young professionals in the United States. Rooted in the Islamic scholarly tradition, the fellowship equips participants with the tools to navigate modern societal challenges through a faith-based lens.

Role Description:
Fellows participate in weekly interactive sessions that include lectures, group discussions, and mentorship. The curriculum covers classical Islamic sciences, modern social and ethical issues, and principles of Islamic leadership. In addition to academic learning, fellows engage in community-oriented projects, personal reflection, and spiritual development exercises.

  • Session Timing: Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST (virtually via Zoom)
  • Application Cycle: Annually

What You’ll Need:

  • A strong interest in Islamic learning, spirituality, and community engagement

  • Commitment to attend weekly sessions and actively participate

  • Aged typically between 18–30, including undergraduate/graduate students and young professionals

Preferred or Required Qualifications:

  • Background in Islamic studies or community service is beneficial but not required

  • Applicants from diverse academic and professional disciplines are welcome
