Purpose
To ensure zebrafish receive daily care and the general management of Dr. Jeffrey Gross’ fish facility. Work closely with postdocs, graduate, and undergraduate students to ensure optimal health of zebrafish and accuracy of experiments.
Responsibilities.
- General zebrafish care: Daily feedings, manage undergrad employees
- Fish Facility Maintenance: Maintain equipment
- Managerial tasks, such as ordering: Work with researchers on planning and execution of research, manage IACUC and AALAC inspections, manage facility cleaning, manage facility service
- Training of new lab members
- Research: Participate in ongoing research projects in the lab
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in biology, marine science, engineering or a similar field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in working with vertebrate animals. Experience in working with zebrafish.
Salary Range
$40,000
Working Conditions

- Lifting and moving 25lbs.
